Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center hired Conneston Construction as our construction management company to coordinate and oversee a major expansion of our Laconia Campus in 2022. The project included extensive site work, construction of a new two-story building, and construction of a connecting structure situated between two historic buildings, which was one of the most complicated parts of the project. While CCI dealt with supply chain delays and the labor shortages impacting subcontractors throughout the project, they also worked with us to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors in the midst of our busy summer camp season.
I cannot say enough about the professionalism and flexibility that they showed, pivoting to other parts of the project when necessary, problem solving with us when materials didn’t arrive as scheduled, and seeking ways to reduce costs as the price of construction materials skyrocketed throughout 2022. Their communication and follow-through were outstanding and despite multiple challenges, the project came in under budget in the end. We are thrilled with the craftsmanship of our new buildings and the overall experience we had working with CCI!

Jude Hamel, Executive Director
Onaway staff and campers could not be more grateful to the team at CCI for the beautiful improvements to our campus. We began in 2020 with an exciting plan for the building of a new Health Center and Nurse’s Family apartment, and the renovation of two spaces: the former infirmary/health center and the camp director’s apartment. The repurposed former infirmary spaces now house a History & Games Room with a cozy fireplace, a Fiber & Textile Room, a Multipurpose studio for yoga and music, and costume and props storage rooms for the theater and dance departments. We enjoyed having the CCI crew on our campus. The work site was always clean, and the crew was friendly and responsible.
In 2022, CCI broke ground on one of Onaway’s most ambitious capital projects to date. The renovation of Woodland Hall, a beloved community gathering space with a stage. This involved a full rebuild of the adjacent Arts & Crafts and Ceramics studios, and the rebuilding of our Director’s Cabin. The results far exceeded our expectations in quality and beauty.
Throughout all these projects, the whole CCI team, most notably Mark Bolstridge, Damien Patten, and Jason Hand, worked tirelessly to support our goals and develop creative solutions to the challenges that arise when you marry new construction with the renovation or replacement of cherished, nearly century-old buildings.
The final result of these projects is nothing short of stunning! Our Onaway alumna architect, Sarah Mudge, created designs that maintained our traditional rustic style, but were elevated to more fully meet our program needs. Each step of the way, the CCI team found unique and beautiful solutions. The newly built and renovated spaces are stronger and more beautiful, but also look like they have been there all along. Our campers loved performing on the expanded stage and creating projects in the airy and gorgeous new arts studios.
We cannot thank CCI enough for their expertise and care in a project that will impact our campers and community for years to come.
Barrie Pendergast
Director of Camp Onaway
Having worked with CCI and the team on two previous projects, I knew we would be in good hands from the onset. After many years of conceptual plans, budgets, sketches, and dreams to transform the old Pop Whalen Ice Arena into a Four-Season Recreational Facility. CCI was able to come in and make that happen.
Jeff and the team came in with about twenty subcontractors to do a walk-through and create the initial budget. This gave Friends of Pop Whalen a baseline to begin the fundraising and planning with the Town of Wolfeboro. Once the project was approved by the voters in March, CCI removed the old building beginning in April 2022 and finished the original building reconstruction in early January 2023. Pop Whalen was back to the business of skating for the winter season.
The project is all about planning and management which CCI delivered. As I still see old faces return to Pop, they are totally amazed by the transformation. Anyone familiar with construction is just amazed by the sheer amount of work that was completed in such a short amount of time.
The balance of the work will be complete by March 2023, as scheduled, and we look forward to the next venture with CCI.
Special thanks to Jason Hand, that managed the day to day work at Pop Whalen, great job!!

Stewart Associates ArchitectsCCI is passionately dedicated to their clients and their projects, and their construction quality, budgeting and scheduling abilities are exceptional.
Amherst School
School BoardThe meetings were well coordinated and well organized with open communication, joint decision making, and visible schedules. Notes of the meetings followed promptly and action items were checked weekly. Issues were addressed promptly and the emphasis, to my delight, was constantly on value, quality, cost, and how an action would affect school personnel.
Architect
Industry ExpertI really cannot express what a wonderful job Jeff and his CCI crew did putting this building together. We were behind schedule, but Jeff and his awe inspiring ability to manipulate logistics put us back on schedule.

With CCI, it’s not just about numbers and nails. They care about how the project turns out.
Meredith Village Savings Bank
I think we all expected the recent renovation of our Main Office to be difficult in many ways. As you know, having workers in the building during normal banking hours has the potential for various problems. Needless to say, I was anticipating some difficulties during this process. I am amazed and pleased to report that I did not have one complaint from a customer or employee during this recent renovation. John and his crew were very aware that we were open for business and did everything they could to complete the job as quickly as possible with minimal disruptions. As you know, they finished quite a bit ahead of schedule, and as usual, the finished product looks great.
New Hampton School
School BoardI think it all comes down to personality. The people you meet at the conference table aren’t necessarily the best ones to work with on a project. But that hasn’t been the case with CCI. As a result, we feel confident with them on campus.
Gilford Public Library
Friends of the Gilford Public LibraryWe have been so fortunate to have had the commitment and enthusiasm from CCI during this entire experience – from breaking ground to a year later. The level of customer service has been consistent and exceptional from Sharon to Rudi and Bryant Lehr. It is probably a rare occasion that an established construction company works with a volunteer group to execute a commercial building project, and a challenging one at that. However, this may have been the exception to the rule; decisions were made, questions were asked (and still continue to be asked), considerations made and all in all a strong working relationship established with half a dozen community members that made a difference to their community.
Great American Dining
When we got ready to begin, we realized it was more than we could do well on our own. It wasn’t just building it; it was construction management, the trades and subs that CCI has gained the respect of, the strong organizational attitude from the top down at CCI. We can make a place look and feel good, but CCI helps make it a proper, sound product.

Kirk Beswick, Facilities DirectorMany of the folks that live at Back Bay have expressed their appreciation for the quality work CCI performed this winter. A routine siding job turned into a pretty intensive exterior project in no time at all, and the crew took it in stride.
In addition, six or more residents told me that the crew were polite, helpful and respectful of their homes at all times.
Maureen Volz
HomeownerI also wanted to say again, at the cost of sounding redundant, Damien made all the difference for me when it came to living in a construction zone. I consider myself very fortunate to have had him here, every day without fail. I was very sad when it was time for him to move on…now who says that after five months of construction?? Speaks volumes…

Michael Flaherty, President & CEOWe have worked with Jeff and his team at CCI on several projects—ranging from smaller window replacement and siding jobs to major ones like our Recreation and Aquatics Center and new 66,000 square foot health care facility in Wolfeboro. They are a personable group of highly knowledgeable, skilled professionals who are solutions oriented and very sensitive to budgeting requirements. Jeff and CCI get the highest grades from me, and I would not hesitate to hire them for any construction project. They are a first-class operation all around.
Pine Hill Farm
HomeownerThanks again to everyone at CCI for all the great work at Pine Hill Farm. The new stone wall foundation, enlarged screen porch, both houses, and everything else looks terrific. The entire extended family sincerely appreciates CCI’s willingness to squeeze this job in this past fall, winter and spring, especially given CCI’s busy schedule and all the complexities of COVID and supply chain disorder.
