Project name: Russell Elementary School – Additions and Renovations
This three-phase project, over two summers, upgraded many systems, created new classroom space, and completed some major renovations. Phase I consisted of code and structural upgrades to the existing 20,000 square foot building along with the addition of two new wings totaling 14,000 square feet. Phase II encompassed renovations to three existing classroom spaces including new mechanical, sprinkler, electrical work as well as new finishes throughout. Finally, Phase III involved demolition and removal of the two-story 1957 wing and construction of a new main entry and office spaces. In the end, the school children of Rumney have a much-improved facility to learn and grow for many future years.
