The History of Conneston Construction, Inc.

CCI was started in 1992 by Jeff Downing, Ross Currier and Rudi Lehr.  In 2008, Rudi’s son, Bryant, replaced him as an owner of CCI, upon Rudi’s retirement.  At the end of 2015, Ross Currier retired from CCI, at which time, CFO, Laura Larson, became the third owner of CCI.

The company provides commercial construction services for a diversified group of clients throughout New England, with the majority of our projects being completed under a construction management contract.

CCI’s sales volume is approximately $30 – $40 million annually and we employ approximately thirty-five professionals on a full-time basis.

The business is very well capitalized and CCI has a $50 million bonding program, along with a $900,000 line of credit that has never been used in the history of the company.

Our client list includes most of New Hampshire’s leading manufacturing firms, private and public schools, municipalities, retailers, health care organizations and many hospitality firms.

Client Testimonials

"The construction management concept allowed us to have a second opinion on every step of the design phase. That way, we were able to balance the esthetics of the building with its work ability and final cost."

"The meetings were well coordinated and well organized with open communication, joint decision making, and visible schedules. Notes of the meetings followed promptly and action items were checked weekly. Issues were addressed promptly and the emphasis, to my delight, was constantly on value, quality, cost, and how an action would affect school personnel."

"I really cannot express what a wonderful job Jeff and his CCI crew did putting this building together. We were behind schedule, but Jeff and his awe inspiring ability to manipulate logistics put us back on schedule."

I have been exposed to several general contractors up and down the east coast. My experience with CCI has been with two projects in the last three years. It is undoubtedly the best contractor I have had the pleasure to work with in my years in the business. Always on time and under budget, something I haven't had an opportunity to say when talking about a contractor before. There was never a problem, always an opportunity, when it came to dealing with issues."
